Melody Amber

[edit]

Hi Jisis,

A user of the Dutch Wikipedia has created a single-purpose account to remove references to tournament books from Melody Amber. Since I am one of the authors of these books, we could use your help to hopefully avoid an edit war. Guido den Broeder (talk) 23:10, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I added a comment at the Melody Amber discussion page. --Jisis (talk) 04:52, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I have to repeat my request, since a second account has shown up with the same purpose. Guido den Broeder (talk) 11:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I undid that revision. Unfortunately I don't think there's much more I can do. Maybe you should contact a a sysop of English wikipedia. --Jisis (talk) 11:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
For your information: NL.wiki arbcom has taken severe measures against Guido den Broeder for self promotion. We have invented the unimportance of his work. Please don't help him. GijsvdL (talk) 12:04, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I was unaware of this mess and I don't want to be a part of it. --Jisis (talk) 12:32, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked for page protection. Guido den Broeder (talk) 13:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. A discussion you were part of is used as evidence in the RfC/U I started. Fram (talk) 12:57, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. I added a comment. --Jisis (talk) 15:13, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!

[edit]

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 10:46, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tom Waits, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Alice (album) and Blue Valentine (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
